Installation
Fiber uses light to transmit data, which allows information to move at extremely high speeds with very low signal loss. Unlike copper‑based networks, fiber isn’t affected by electrical interference, weather conditions, or long distances. This means you get a more stable connection, faster speeds, and consistent performance, even during peak usage times.
When we are extending our serviceable area, it can take some time. We are running brand new fiber mainline, cabinets, huts, and network electronics to bring fiber to our rural subscribers. Because all fiber is buried, the process requires detailed underground construction, trenching or boring through varying terrain, securing permits, and carefully splicing and testing each fiber strand. Each step must be completed safely and accurately to ensure a reliable connection.
It is likely what you are seeing is mainline fiber being ran as we progress through an area. The fiber is currently "dark", meaning that no signal is being transmitted. After the completing the mainline we will begin the installation process. If you think you address might be serviceable, you can visit join.fiberlync.net.
