• Is FiberLync raising prices?
  No. Current internet service rates are not changing. The discussion at the public hearing is related to adding LyncTV packages, not an increase to any existing prices.
   

• Why is this being discussed at a public hearing?
  As a broadband authority created under the Code of Virginia, FiberLync is required to hold a public hearing on any rate addition or change.
   

• What is LyncTV?
  LyncTV allows customers to stream live TV channels on FiberLync’s fiber network using a downloaded app.
   

• How does it work?
  The LyncTV app will be available for download and subscribers to the service will be provided login information to access the content.
   

• Will I be required to sign up for LyncTV?
  No. LyncTV is an optional, add‑on service.
   

• When will LyncTV be available?
  Later this year (2026)
   

• Will my internet bill change because LyncTV is being added?
  No, there is no change to internet package rates. LyncTV will be an optional, separate service with its own pricing.
   

• Will LyncTV affect my internet performance?
  LyncTV is a streaming app like other major streaming providers. It relies on your FiberLync internet service in the same way.
   

• How will I know when LyncTV is ready?
  We will announce availability through email, social media, and our website. Customers will receive full details on channels, packages, equipment, and pricing at that time.
   

• Will I need new equipment?
  LyncTV can be downloaded on most major devices: Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple, Android, and most SmartTVs. We are also exploring an optional FiberLync supported Android box (with remote) for a monthly rental fee.
